The Best Make-out Spots in the City PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ximena Lopez

Trust me people, I am not that experienced at the topic I've chosen for this week. Yet, something inside me wants to talk about the best places to make out in the big apple. Maybe because I am in a mood to reminisce about not giving it up on the first couple of dates, so long ass make-out sessions were in order. Don’t get me wrong when I was a single gal, long time ago, long LONG time ago, I did my share of PDA-ing. Some good choices and some really bad, (cough) company holiday party (cough), but none I regret too bad because the stories are now here to share with all! Enjoy the following locations where a little tongue action won’t get you a roll of the eyes from an uptight stranger, and even if it does “hey fa-geta-boutit.” This is New York, and we can do what we want, so show them your fist and slowly extend your middle finger. That’s a girl….

The Fat Black Pussycat Club

The Fat Black Pussycat - What can I say, everything in is the name. JUST KIDDING! The name is not what lured to me to make-out there. It was a first date, and I did get a little tipsy on after dinner drinks, but I assume that was part of “the plan.” Either way the downstairs has a basement-esque quality, hence the name the Underground, and is great for “stranger” make-outs. They have good music on certain nights also, if you want to get freaky on the dance floor.

Therapy NYC

Gay lounges - There are plenty to choose from so if you are looking for some good guy/girl lip locking, and a place where no one will judge, hit these up. I can only speak for a straight woman when I say that if you venture into a dark corner or hell, even a bright corner, you can do your thing and not feel like everyone is staring.

Highline Park

The Highline - Lower tier just before approaching the over pass of The Standard is best, I hear. This one is a new location, so excuse me if the mister and I haven’t been there yet. From what I hear though, if you walk to the end of the walkway there is a lower tier which is semi-private for an outdoor area. Thing that make you go hmmm….

The Cloisters

The Cloisters - Location, location, location. That’s what we’re talking about here, and what more romantic place then in Fort Tryon park in front of a museum that used to be a castle. Granted this is very uptown, but if you have a MetroCard then there shouldn’t be a problem, lazy. There are many a grassy knoll there to lay a blanket on and go wild. Warning to all, the actual Cloisters museum is expensive to get into so if you’re treating your partner in this economical climate, better say “hey honey, mind if we skip the museum and just walk around the park. I would love to see your gorgeousness while we stroll through the flower garden instead.” Gets ‘em every time!
