Fashion At The VMAs

First at Fashion Week I noticed a trend of short, sheer, tight and bright. Dresses were pushing the envelope on length and were sheer leaving little up to the imagination.  However, I noticed that some of the trends were looking more like trends that can be worn on a nice evening out, instead of at a fashion gala. There were still a fair share of over the top head pieces and oversized clothing, but there was also a lot of simple pieces also. Celebrities at Fashion Week did not disappoint either. I noticed a lot of black and white this year which made celebrities look effortlessly fashionable this year and just like I said, accessories. Celebrities were accessorizing to the max this year with big jewelry, scarves and purses.

The VMAs were quite eventful this year, not only the show but also the fashion. Beyonce was on fire with her bright red Roberto Cavalli minidress, Cesare Paciotti platform pumps and over one million dollars in Lorraine Schwartz jewelry! Lady Gaga as usual shocked us with her very unique styles. She had six costume changes and each one was more outrageous then the previous. Hey at least she isn’t afraid to be different. Taylor Swift who had the most interesting evening looked stunning in both her dresses, she really knows how to dress for her age. Jennifer Lopez who I worship in the fashion department really didn’t do it for me this year. Pink and Shakira wore the same dress, but they both looked hot! Katy Perry who sometimes is questionable was a winner. In keeping with the theme of the night of honoring Michael Jackson celebrities like Madonna and Jermaine Jackson wore outfits reminiscent of Michael. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys who closed the show with representing New York both were fashion knockouts. Judging from these events we are going to end this year with a bang New York!
